WHO WE ARE

A Humanitarian Movement Built at the Intersection of Art & Service

Beyond Me Initiative (BMI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the humanitarian arm of Beyond Me Entertainment. We were born from a simple question: How do we awaken the humanitarian spirit of people and inspire them to live beyond themselves?

Founded in February 2015 by Watson and Madisyn George, BMI channels the energy of music, media, and storytelling into real, documented community impact. Beyond Me Initiative serves as the strategic architect of community restoration. We believe that lasting change requires a collective effort, which is why we act as the 'bridge' between different community forces that share the same goals but lack a common platform. Our model leverages the expertise of top-tier professional partners, allowing our leadership to focus on the essential labor of fundraising, mission-organizing, and systemic healing. We don't just fund projects; we build the infrastructure—like the Indianapolis Impact Center—that allows diverse partners to work together toward a shared blueprint for local restoration.

The Live Beyond You Service Challenge: Our flagship movement transforms passive listeners into Active Initiators. Through this program, we empower community members to become servant leaders who identify and nominate local nonprofits for grants of up to $5,000, creating a direct pipeline of funding for those on the front lines.

The Indianapolis Impact Center: Our most ambitious initiative to date. We are leading a $10–12M revitalization plan of a former school in Indianapolis, transforming it into a permanent, multi-disciplinary hub for community healing. This center will serve as the physical heart for academic, vocational, and creative empowerment, proving that when we unite our resources, we can restore the very foundations of our community.

OUR CORE VALUES

"We exist at the intersection of art and action."

Creativity as Catalyst

Artistic expression has the power to heal, inspire, and mobilize people toward meaningful action.

Community-Driven

We prioritize local solutions to local problems, trusting communities to lead their own flourishing.

Inspiration to Action

We bridge the gap between feeling moved and actually doing something about it.

Transparency

We operate with full integrity, ensuring resources flow directly to communities that need them most.

Our Origin Story

Born from Haiti's Earthquake. Built for Every Neighborhood.

BMI was born from the aftermath of Haiti's 2010 earthquake, when Watson George, a Haitian-American recording artist, mobilized recording artists and a music group to produce a benefit album that raised over $50,000 for more than a dozen international organizations. Watson personally led a humanitarian trip to Haiti, where those funds helped rebuild schools, orphanages, and communities.

When Watson and Madisyn married, they brought that same spirit to American communities, founding the Beyond Me Initiative in February 2015. The vision was clear: music was moving people, but nothing was directing that energy into action. BMI was created to fill that gap.

Live Beyond You

Service Challenge

The LBY Service Challenge turns ordinary people into servant leaders. Three steps. Real impact. Your service earns local nonprofits funding of up to $5,000 — no fundraising drives, no bake sales. Just action.

The grant cycle activates once our pool reaches $100,000 — ensuring every selected charity receives meaningful, sustained support. We fund through Beyond Me Entertainment revenue, foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, and community giving.
